Join Simon for walking - 4x4 photo adventures in Torres del Paine 2009-10

Torres is a dream location for landscape photographers, but make no mistake there are ample opportunities for those that want to add wildlife to their portfolio. There are over 100 species of birds that have been recorded here, including Flamingos that sometimes strangely overwinter, even when the lakes they inhabit sometimes freeze over for a few days. Not far from my basecamp where I spent an unforgettable 11 months, is a wetland that in spring is teeming with numerous species, including the all honking Buff Necked Ibis. The first spring here my alarm clock became obsolete very quickly as the dawn chorus starts up. We shall certainly be spending some time around the area of my basecamp during the week. I have spent weeks around the area during the spring months, it never fails to deliver.
